Frank Hamer was one of the most famous Texas rangers of all time. Kevin Costner is starring in a movie about Frank Hamer and how he tracked and killer Bonnie and Clyde. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. See also the True West Article from the April 2019 issue.

Our Frank Hamer hat is based on photos of the real Frank Hamer rather than the hat used in the upcoming film. We looked particularly to his earlier days. He had several hats over the years, but he was most often photographed with a tall crown without a pinch. He usually had a 4” brim with a pencil curl, as show above.

This is the hat he wore on horseback though he wore a light color as well as black.
