I had the pleasure of meeting John Russel. He came into our store at Fisherman’s Wharf. I recognized him at first sight. I couldn’t help calling out “The Lawman.”, He grinned from ear to ear. That severe and mean look in his eyes was deceptive. He was a very friendly man. I liked him. I liked his hat in this movie, it’s a cattle barons’ hat.
